Managing your schedule

Click any scheduled task, either on the dashboard or in the calendar view, to open it and see your options. From there you can lock it, postpone it, edit it, or delete it.

Locking a task

Locking a task keeps it at its current time through every future scheduling run; the scheduler treats a locked slot as occupied and builds the rest of the schedule around it instead of moving it. Unlock it the same way, from the same panel, whenever you want it to move freely again.

Postponing a task

"Postpone until tomorrow" moves a task's earliest possible start forward by a day without changing anything else about it, useful when something simply isn't happening today and you'd rather push it than have it compete for a slot it won't get to.

Editing a task

Changing a task's duration, priority, due date, or task type from its edit screen and saving with reschedule will run the scheduler again to fit the updated task into your calendar; saving without reschedule keeps its current time and only updates the details you changed.

Recurring tasks

A recurring task is set up once with a repeat rule, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, and generates its own instances going forward. Editing one instance asks whether the change should apply to just that occurrence, that occurrence and every one after it, or the entire series, so a one-off change to a single day doesn't have to rewrite the whole recurrence.
