Information We Collect
We collect and process the following categories of data when you use Auto-Scheduler:
- Account data: your Firebase user ID, email address, authentication provider, subscription/trial status, and account settings.
- Task and scheduling data: task titles, descriptions, durations, priorities, due dates, task type, recurrence settings, subtasks, prerequisites, scheduled start/end times, locked events, and completion status.
- Preference data: working hours, personal time blocks, buffer settings, scheduling weights, display preferences, and selected conflict calendars.
- Payment data: Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Auto-Scheduler.
- Support and contact data: information you send to us by email or other support channels.
- Technical data: basic logs and security information needed to operate, secure, debug, and prevent abuse of the service.
Google Calendar Data
Google Calendar connection is optional. Auto-Scheduler can schedule tasks inside the app without a Google Calendar connection. If you choose to connect Google Calendar, we request access only so the app can perform the calendar features you enable.
Depending on your settings, Auto-Scheduler may access or process the following Google Calendar data:
- Your selected calendar list, so you can choose which calendars should be checked for scheduling conflicts.
- Free/busy information from selected calendars, so Auto-Scheduler can avoid placing tasks over existing events.
- Events in Auto-Scheduler-managed task calendars, so the app can create, update, reuse, or remove scheduled task events.
- Google OAuth access tokens needed to perform the actions above. Tokens are used only for calendar functionality.
We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, sell Google Calendar data, or share Google Calendar data with third parties except where necessary to provide and secure Auto-Scheduler or where required by law.
Auto-Scheduler's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How We Use Data
We use personal data only for the following purposes:
- To create and authenticate your account.
- To store your tasks, preferences, time blocks, and generated schedule.
- To score and auto-schedule tasks based on your preferences and availability.
- To check selected Google calendars for conflicts if you connect Google Calendar.
- To create and maintain task events in Google Calendar if you enable calendar sync.
- To process subscriptions, trials, cancellation status, and billing support through Stripe.
- To provide support, maintain security, prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal Bases Under the GDPR
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance, to provide the app features you request.
- Consent, where you choose to connect Google Calendar or where consent is otherwise required.
- Legitimate interests, to secure, maintain, debug, and improve the service.
- Legal obligation, where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
You may revoke optional Google Calendar access at any time by disconnecting the app in your Google Account permissions or by contacting us.
Service Providers and Sharing
We use trusted service providers to operate Auto-Scheduler:
- Google Firebase: authentication, Firestore database, and infrastructure services.
- Google Calendar API: optional calendar conflict detection and event sync.
- Stripe: checkout, subscription management, customer portal, and payment processing.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to serve the web application.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and security, or with your explicit instruction.
Storage, Security, and Retention
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls, Firebase security rules that isolate each user's data, and scoped access to user subcollections.
We keep account, task, scheduling, and subscription records for as long as your account is active or as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you delete your account, we delete your user profile, tasks, scheduled instances, preferences, recurrence cache, and other user-scoped app data, except where retention is legally required.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated app data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
To make a request, email info@auto-scheduler.net. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
Auto-Scheduler is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
